Turn an ordinary shelf into something that looks collected over generations with this complete set of seven graduated metric measures.
Displayed together, the measures create a striking progression from the substantial 1 Liter vessel down to the tiny 1 Centiliter size. Their gray metal finish, architectural square handles and flared pouring collars give them the character of old European tavern and mercantile measuring vessels.
Each measure has raised capacity lettering on its handle and a crest-style mark underneath.
The tallest measure is approximately 8.5 inches high based on the ruler shown in the photographs.
Research indicates this type was produced as decorative metalware inspired by traditional European metric measures. Exact maker, age, country of manufacture and metal composition have not been confirmed.
The material appears to be cast gray metal. Comparable examples have been identified as zinc-based alloy, although this set has not been professionally tested.
Condition is very much part of the look. The pieces show substantial wear, cracking and surface deterioration. Several areas around handles and bases are damaged, and one measure has a prominent loss along the upper rim. Please study the photographs carefully.
